Located on the Great Yorkshire Showground, Pavilions of Harrogate has 2,300 square metres of internal space over 14 rooms. We are a flexible and versatile venue that can accommodate a range of events from a glittering awards dinner for 500 to new vehicle launches for 350 delegates.
Our creative and passionate in-house team work hard to ensure that your event is a success, with complimentary car-parking and free Wi-Fi as well as flexibility to create a bespoke package to suit your needs. The venue is fully accessible, we have rooms that have vehicle access and all of them are pillar free.
All of our food is locally sourced which is fundamental to our charity Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), as we are all about supporting local farmers and suppliers. For many event organisers, the Pavilions of Harrogate fulfils their corporate responsibility as all profits go back to YAS to promote and support the agricultural community. This can be from organising free Countryside Days for 6,000 primary school children to farmer health checks which may save a life.
Pavilions of Harrogate was initially built in 1996 and it hosts the Royal Family during visits to the Great Yorkshire Show. Word has spread about our first class facilities and team, and we now host over 600 events throughout the year, including conferences, meetings, exhibitions, public sales, funerals, weddings, gala dinners, charity balls and special events.
We have achieved a Greengage Ecosmart Gold Award along with a series of business tourism awards. Sustainability is very much front of mind and we no longer use single use plastic straws and when our caterers need to use disposable plates, these are compostable or 100% recyclable. We also have 4 electric car charging points with more available on the showground.
Waste Management – we are proud that none of our waste goes to landfill, it is all recycled or converted back into energy.
Solar Panels – across our site we have installed 960 large solar panels, this means we can reduce our onsite grid energy usage and provide significant environmental benefits.
Venue Lighting – we now have LED lights throughout the venue, helping to reduce energy consumption.
Water – we bottle our own water on site, using reusable glass bottles for all our events.
Catering – We aim to source local ingredients where we can, meaning our food is not only fresh, but is environmentally friendly as possible. Our bars only use paper straws, and our caterers provide wooden cutlery and their disposable plates and bowls are compostable or 100% recyclable alternatives. At the Great Yorkshire Show, our outside bar uses recyclable pint glasses which can be used year after year. Where possible, any food left after events is donated to the Harrogate Homeless Project, helping support the great work they do in our community.
Supporting Local – Where possible we use local suppliers for goods and staffing of events.
